About me
Areas of focus include working with individuals to treat stress, anger, anxiety, PTSD, shame, guilt and family or interpersonal relationship concerns. In working with clients, I utilize a person-centered approach. I encourage my clients to adopt a self-compassionate perspective, develop self-motivation, increase self-esteem, cultivate self-awareness and create changes necessary to modify or remodel their life.
My mission is to assist each client to uncover their true potential and lead a life that is purposeful. While change is difficult to achieve and situations of the past are challenging to overcome, I am committed to providing clients with a secure space to resolve and restore emotional health.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the College of Staten Island; a Master of Science in Counseling with a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Mental Health from Alfred University. I hold a certification as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor; I am a trained trauma professional and specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
