About me
I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor who provides counseling services to those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Additionally, I am a Certified First Responder Counselor and work with responders to manage their personal and professional experiences.
I believe that counseling is a collaborative effort and I will not pretend to know you better than you know yourself. I believe we all have an internal compass, but sometimes need some support in determining where we need to go. I have many years of experience working with individuals and families who are experiencing difficulties and sometimes, trauma. I use trauma-focused cognitive behavioral, DBT, and client centered approaches to help support those who are experiencing difficulties. Additionally, I have 1st responder training and work with responders (dispatchers, nurses, doctors, police officers, firefighters, VETS, and EMT's) process the stressors of their work and examine how their professional careers, often causing trauma responses, are impacting their work and home lives. You will feel supported, respected, and listened to at my practice as it is always my goal to understand your needs and work with you to achieve them.
