About me
I have been working as a therapist for over 20 years in EAP, private practice and an In-Home therapist dealing with difficult & troubled teenage girls. Other specialties are anxiety, depression, work/life balance, parenting, substance use, PTSD, Grief & Loss. Being the Director of EAP for the majority of my career allows me to assist individuals in managing career goals and workplace stress.
"Start where the client is at" is the best way to describe my treatment approach. It is important to stay focused on the clients' needs to help them in achieving their goals. I use a relaxed and eclectic treatment approach in helping my clients' to focus on their strengths and improve their weaknesses.
Learning to laugh at ones self is often a great start, while developing the skills to manage the stress, anxiety and struggles of everyday life. In working with a therapist engagement is the most important aspect of the therapeutic relationship. My hope is that my client will always take away a sense of feeling understood, while developing strategies/skills to manage the struggles they are facing.
