About me
I have a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a dually licensed therapist in the state of Texas, as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). I am also a nationally certified counselor (NCC). I have been professionally trained in a “systemic” approach. As a systemic family therapist, I observe problems within the context of the family.
As a therapist using the systemic approach, I believe that the source of the problem originates within the context of the family as a whole, and not merely the individual. It is my hope as your therapist to use this approach to empower you and your family to obtain long-lasting change, as you reveal and learn to alter the generational patterns causing distress in the family system.
