With over 9 years working specifically with the mental health population and over seven years of experience working with special populations such as at risk youth, homeless veterans, minorities, LGBTQ persons and geriatrics.
I have experience dealing with a wide range of concerns, to include but not limited to, anxiety, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, anger management, self care, substance abuse and use disorder, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders and grief counseling. I counsel couples, families, adolescents, young adults, adults as well as the geriatric population.
I take a holistic approach to treatment and case formulation. Therapeutically, I utilize a variety of psychotherapy-based approaches to treatment. Building rapport and developing a therapeutic alliance with my clients are part of the key building blocks to client success which is why I believe so strongly in fostering a solid bond. All efforts and work is done collaboratively with my client; as we are a team; I work only as hard as you do. I meet my clients where they are at within their journey of self discovery.
I stay on top of the most current research and information so that I am able to provide the best evidenced based practice as possible. It is my goal and duty to do no harm and to ensure that I am providing the absolute best service that I possibly can to my clients.
My practice, SoulFully Urs, LLC, is a behavioral health agency where we focus on the person in their environment.
