Tara Nimry, LCSW

Hello and welcome! My name is Tara Nimry and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and families experiencing symptoms of distress due to life transitions, relationship problems, parenting, family issues, self-esteem, perfectionism, anxiety, and trauma.

I have a positive diversity mindset and have worked alongside humans with various racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I believe in social inclusion of gender and sexual diversity. My clients have said I am positive, practical, compassionate, humorous, and down-to-earth during our work together.

I have an eclectic and authentic approach to therapy and prioritize/value the therapeutic relationship. I draw from CBT, DBT, Solution Focused therapy, Strengths Based therapy, Mindfulness Based therapy, and EMDR. I have advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health and have personal experience with Postpartum Anxiety/Depression.

Life transitions, relationship problems, parenting and trauma can throw us off balance. We often feel lost, overwhelmed, anxious, and less attuned to ourselves and loved ones.
