Welcome!
I consider myself to be a holistic healer. Body, Mind, Spirit and Emotion cannot be separated. We often attempt to heal one area, or use our intellect to manage our emotions, and find ourselves wondering why we keep doing the same things, or why we are still dealing with the same things. After I graduated with my Masters in Social Work, we were supposed to define ourselves, and I would usually call myself eclectic, meaning I would draw from many teachings and theories, including so called alternative treatments. When I found IFS (Internal Family Systems) in 2017, it all began to make sense to me. It helped me heal what I thought was dealt with. We often learn to cope and manage our feelings, and not how to live with them.
Over the years I learned many different techniques, and a lot about parenting, attachment, adoption, military life, and also gifted students and adults. As a social worker we believe that every one is their own expert. With IFS I can also help you be your own healer and live with your thoughts and feelings. On our way there we might integrate some sound or energy healings, if its appropriate, as trauma and stress sometimes gets stuck in our body. I also don't shy away from spiritual discussions.
I chose the name 'Reconnecting Therapies' as a means to connect these modalities, and more important your internal world.

I also love mentoring other professionals, with their own healing or in consultation, or to get their license, or to continue in their IFS journey.
