About me
I am dedicated to empowering people in navigating life's challenges. I specialize in eating disorders, anxiety, LGBTQ+ and sexual trauma.
From navigating relationships, careers, identity, politics, culture; adulting is no small task for a person of any age..... let alone navigating overwhelming emotions, eating, sleeping and trauma on top of the energy it takes to get by on a daily basis. You might feel like you're managing most of it, but some part of your life feels elusive and takes a lot of extra energy...like being able to stay in relationships, be at peace in your body or satisfied with how you present yourself to the world.
I can help you work through these things in way that focuses less on pathology and more on your strengths and context. My specialties include eating disorders, body image, identity (including sexual and gender identity), sexual abuse, cultural issues, attachment and healthy relationships. I am LGBQ+, Transgender and Non-Binary affirming.
I believe the foundation of counseling is the relationship and that it is a collaborative process. I integrate different types of therapies depending on what resonates best with you. Finding the right therapist where you can feel at ease is essential to your healing. I encourage you to reach out for a free consultation to see if we might be a good fit.
