About me
I am a dedicated and adaptable mental health counselor with more than 11 years of experience. Do you often feel weighed down by feelings of anxiety or find it difficult to make friends and experience loneliness regularly as a result? If so, come talk to me; together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and build meaningful social connections. When human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic or stressful experience. I have experience working in prisons, school settings, and abuse centers as well as with adolescent substance abuse and military families. I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, so I have been trained in a range of modalities, including behavior therapy, play therapy, trauma-informed therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and CBT.
I am direct with my approach and gentle. I believe in changing your mind can change your life. I have a certificate in Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBTII). I have training in behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trust-based relational intervention (TBRI), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I use a holistic approach to mental health that embraces mind, body, and spirit.
