I am an experienced, compassionate clinician; dedicated to a client-centered, strengths-based approach to mental health care. Excited about Self-Care and Mindfulness and guiding clients toward developing toolboxes that serve their needs.
I am licensed in Georgia with 4 years of professional work experience. I have served in schools and private practice helping children, adolescents and their families and adults with stress and anxiety, mood disorders, coping with grief and loss, sleeping disorders, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence and financial relationships. I believe that you are the expert on you and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I will tailor our dialog and your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am excited for you for taking that first step.
I work with children and families primarily and believe that helping children develop emotional management tools and healthy attitudes about self-care and self-love will have profound impact on communities of the future. My empathy, compassion, and person-centered servant leadership style are skills that make me a great contribution to treatment teams. My personal and professional mantra is “Self-Care is Self-Love, Heal Thy Self”, we are capable of living healthy fulfilling lives if we learn how to care for our whole selves. Every case is looked at through a “client is expert on the client lens”, I just provide some outside guidance; like finding a puzzle piece; the pieces are there, I just help bring the picture into focus.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, aspects of Play and Art Therapy in my practice and I also have current certifications in Grief Counseling and Financial Social Work.
