The Family Center is a community based, affordable outpatient mental health clinic and the training center for Edgewood College's Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Program. Our mission is to support the growth, transformation, and overall wellness of our clients, staff, and the community within which we serve. We impact the community by providing affordable, high quality mental health care and by training students for ethical leadership in our field. We embrace and treasure diversity and build community through a commitment to inclusion. We facilitate student learning with a strengths based model in order to support futures of meaningful service. Sliding scale fee services available from $15 to $75 per session, based on income and household size, providing attainable care for people of all cultures, backgrounds, and socioeconomic status. I personally have an interest and experience in working with those affected by developmental and life transitions, grief, trauma, relational issues, anxiety, depression, sexual wellness, and issues of identity. My therapeutic lens takes a Systemic Approach, meaning we look at all facets of your life, including your relationships, work life and status, health issues, basic self-care needs, society norms and customs, your individual culture, values, and beliefs, etc., and how they impact your mental health and wellbeing. I believe in a collaborative and inclusive approach to our treatment together, operating from a standpoint of cultural humility, racial sensitivity, and intersectional feminist thought.
