Robin Risso, LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am an experienced family therapist and work with adults, teens, couples and families from a trauma informed perspective. Often goals include managing anxiety, depression, trauma related symptoms, and navigating dynamics with family, partners, children and others in their lives.
My work takes place in a unique environment. I work out of barn where I provide psychotherapy with equine interaction, yes, our clinical work includes interactions with horses as well as miniature donkeys. I have training in several models and tend to utilize DBT, IFS, and EMDR interventions, tools, and perspectives. Regardless of the model, it's about supporting the goals of the humans with dignity and respect for the health and welfare of the humans and the horses.
