About me
Recovering and changing from life's difficulties requires someone who can understand you without judging you.
I understand how addiction can overpower you, and what it takes to overcome it and stay sober. I have experience with death, trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, anger and relationship issues.
Some of my other specialties include improving low self-esteem, managing stress, anxiety, grief and Loss, coping with divorce, infidelity and the power of forgiveness.
Most of my clients' report feeling relieved after the first two sessions and keep using and applying the tools provided.
I am eager to work with you at your own pace and help you achieve your recovery goals.
I use various therapy methods such as Cognitive Behavioral, Strength perspective, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative therapy as well as Mindfulness techniques. I am also certified in EMDR (Eye movement desensitization Reprocessing). I will help you learn new ways to cope with and overcome your challenges.
My work history has been working with Child protective services in New Mexico for 6 years. Springer Women's Correctional facility for 2 years and 2 years providing therapy to clients and clinical supervision to other therapists.
I hold a BA in psychology & social & criminal justice, and a MA in social work. I also have valuable life experiences that enrich my knowledge and skills. I use this expertise to support you in your journey to recovery.
