About me
I help people who feel depressed and anxious find ease, self-acceptance, and their deep potential.
I'm Hongkonger Chinese who loves to do somatic and multicultural work with Asian and culturally diverse clients. I'm inspired by this quote by Elizabeth Appell: “And the day came when the risk to remain closed in a bud became more painful that the risk it took to blossom.” I believe we all have many chances to grow into truer versions of ourselves.
I have a background in somatic, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive work. I obtained my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle, and completed training from Seattle School of Body Psychotherapy. I've worked with depression, anxiety, and trauma with racially diverse populations to learn how these issues show up differently for unique individuals.
Many people hope therapy can fix their problems or make them feel better. Therapy can lead to those improvements, given your commitment. It is also an introspective process that promotes personal growth. I will help you to safely feel your emotions, examine cultural influences, and work through vicious cycles. By doing this, you will gain insight, perspective, and self-compassion that enable you to make new choices in life.
