Rachel Kornilakis, MS, LMSW

I am a trauma therapist who helps clients of all ages cope with trauma, stress, anxiety, grief and loss.

I specialize in trauma focused therapy solutions for adults, children and families. Together we will explore your goals and create a roadmap for progress. We will walk the path towards increased well-being together, using a mix of client centered therapeutic methods delivered in a warm and supportive environment. I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). These modalities are among the most proven and evidence based trauma interventions available to clients today.

I have over a decade of experience working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma. This background, and my full confidence in EMDR and DBT, increase my capacity to deliver treatment effectively and efficiently. I am a Licensed Master's Level Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Michigan with honors. I also draw upon experience that comes from working in the adult and child welfare systems and from my personal journey as a foster and adoptive parent caring for children with complex needs.

Healing is possible and my goal is to holistically support each client through the healing process. It's our unique pasts that make us who we are.
