Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I specialize in couples counseling, and in working with trauma. If things have gotten hard and painful, you don't need to face it alone. Let's make sense of it together. See less
I provide therapy for couples who wish to make positive and lasting changes in their relationships. I offer safe, compassionate and supportive counseling that allows each person to be heard and validated. Healing can happen in therapy, even for couples who are dealing with hurts, betrayals, lost connections, or other relationship issues.
I use an approach known as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is one of the most researched approaches to couples therapy. Research studies find that by using EFT, 70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.
In EFT, couples learn to identify their needs and fears that keep them apart. We work to identify the negative cycle that trap couples again and again and causes disconnection and isolation. This can happen even in the most loving of relationships. In our work together, couples develop new skills to repair the ruptures and find their way back to that secure, in-love, “heart to heart” connection.
Life is complex. You may be struggling with depression, grief, anxiety, stress, parenting challenges, relationship issues, or workplace challenges. I have helped numerous individuals find relief from these and other issues.
I use Somatic Experiencing (SE) to help my clients deal with pain, trauma, and anxiety. In this effective, evidence-based approach, we gently access the body’s memory of the event, pain or trauma. Using SE we find your inner resources, and help find your natural resilience to restore balance. My aim to help you find your way back to knowing what you know, and feeling what you feel.
I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients be with their feelings, even the difficult and hard ones. I help clients understand when they have “fused” with their stories about themselves, and how to free themselves from painful narratives. In addition I believe strongly in mindfulness and awareness as a path to a larger and more satisfying life.
