I am a professional counselor who works mostly with individual adults and couples with relationship issues.

I've been a counselor for over 35 years. I try to strike a balance between listening, educating, and application. I believe that we all have the same basic healthy needs, but the problems arise in how we choose to get those needs met.

My practice is called Right Choices because most people coming for counseling are looking to make better choices with their life, moving forward. After all, if we don't make our own choices, life tends to make those choices for us. And, if we've been making poor choices, we sometimes need help in making sure that we don't continue to make the same mistakes - and that's why I'm here.

My approach is eclectic in that I've had training in several different styles, but, over the years, you find your own style. Also, there is no one-size-fits-all approach in counseling since each case may require a different fit. I work primarily with relationship issues, men's issues and adjustment problems - doing both individual and couple's work.

I have written seven self-help books to date. The first, "Conflict Resolution for Couples", was initially published in 2005 and was updated for its 15th Anniversary in 2020. My last book, "Marriage and the People Pleaser", was published in October of 2021.
