My name is Paul, the owner of NEW Perspectives Christian Counseling. If you are checking this page out, there is a good chance that you or a loved one is seeking some kind of healing. I am glad you are here.
When I started the process of establishing my own practice, I did so with the purpose of helping clients find a new perspective. Therapy, in many ways, is about adopting new perspectives or understandings of the issues that complicate life.
My professional journey has been quite enriching to this point. I spent my first 'big kid' job working on an in-patient, adolescent, mental health treatment unit. I then transitioned into a long career in law enforcement. As you might imagine, this exposed me to many significant experiences. After this career, I worked in the public schools, working mostly in special education and tutoring youth experiencing homelessness. I also coached sports along the way. I then began my career as a therapist, and I love what I do!
I have worked with a wide variety of people. The list of mental health concerns I have encountered in my practice is quite diverse. In addition to the varied mental health struggles, I have also worked with clients from age 3 to 70+
