I am an experienced licensed professional counselor and registered play therapist that loves helping children, teens, and young adults with emotional and behavioral problems.

Sometimes our greatest personal challenges come from relationships with the people that we love the most. Family problems and problems with children might include emotional or behavioral problems, or school and learning problems as well as parenting problems. Family issues and challenges often leave us feeling stressed, helpless, and without hope. It's difficult to know what to say or do, or even who to talk to that might be able to help.

If you, or a child of your family, are in crisis and struggling with relationship and emotional issues, I offer a safe, compassionate environment to express your concerns and help the unique members of your family to understand one another. Together, we can playfully and creatively identify the real or underlying problems and develop the best solutions available for you and/or your family. Using a combination of evidence-based counseling theories and play-based techniques with unwavering Christian beliefs, we can change self-limiting thoughts and unproductive behaviors, and replace the frustration with hope.

My specialty is children and the grownups that love them. As an LPC, and a registered play therapist with seventeen years of experience counseling children, I am uniquely qualified to help with issues involving children's emotional, behavioral, and social problems. As a wife of forty-one years with three grown children, an adopted teenager, and nine grandchildren, I am very familiar with family stresses and realities and how all-consuming they can be.
