Hello! I am a Resident in Counseling at Full Life PC (under the supervision of Hunter Teets, MA LPC, VA license #0701005525). I believe that all people have the capacity to change and heal when in a safe, encouraging environment. By bringing our values to the surface, we can make choices that give our lives a greater sense of purpose and peace. My style of counseling emphasizes the therapeutic relationship, and often utilizes humor, perspective-taking, and focus on connecting authentically and non-judgmentally. Sometimes being a person is hard, and we just need somewhere to talk about it!
I approach therapy from an existential viewpoint, centering on bigger life questions of authenticity, meaning, and mortality. I also have a specialization in addiction counseling, and believe substance use and other addictive behavior is often a secondary symptom of a primary wound. Whatever brings you to therapy, there is always hope for growth and healing.
I strive to provide services from a culturally humble lens and am dedicated to enacting principles of social justice in practice. I believe therapy can be equally challenging and fun, and I would be honored to walk beside you on your path to growth.
