I'm Opal Evans, the owner of Calvert Counseling Center and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC). I am passionate about teaching people strategies that can help them cope better, feel better and be more intentional about their wellness. My style is down to earth and personable. I strive to understand my clients for who they are - taking into consideration culture, values and experiences that have shaped their identity. I earned my master's degree in counseling from Stephens College in Columbia Missouri. In addition to private practice, I have worked as a counselor in a school setting, hospital behavioral health and providing in-home therapy services.
Calvert Counseling Center specializes in providing mental wellness services. Individual and group counseling are offered to help you to cope with everyday pressures leading to anxiety and depression. Starting from the very first session we will work together to create and follow a personalized plan that allows you to cultivate better mental, emotional and relational health. Our sessions are a space for increasing insight, promoting behavioral transformation and embracing more empowering attitudes and beliefs.
