About me
I am a therapist that works with adults of all ages to provide a safe and welcoming space for clients to process challenges.
The methods I use typically include a blend of talk therapy and mindfulness practices that encourage a gentle exploration of issues. I have a background in bodywork and training in Somatic Experiencing (SE) and EMDR. I have seen personally and through my clients the profound impact stress and trauma can have on both the mind and the physical body, for example in the form of anxiety, chronic pain or frequent stomach upset. I believe that healing can happen without needing to focus heavily on the retelling of a trauma, as this can be highly upsetting. Developing self-awareness of how trauma itself is currently impacting one’s thoughts, feelings and actions can assist in uncovering and changing patterns that are no longer useful to them.
