About me
I am an experienced Psychotherapist who offers support to individuals in their journey to have a healing connection within themselves so that they may have meaningful connections with others. I empower and encourage individuals to navigate through changes and transitions in life genuinely, authentically, and with respect to their values and identities. I provide a safe and confidential space where one can explore their feelings and gain insights into how to improve their life, while also developing effective communication skills to build stronger, more fulfilling connections. Schedule your free consultation today and let's start your journey towards healing and growth.
After over two decades of success as a mother of two children, business owner, and entrepreneur, I have transitioned into my final career as a Marriage and Family Therapist committed to working with individuals, couples, and families navigating the challenges of life with the goal of restoration. I see it as a true honor and blessing to work with clients from all backgrounds and believe every client and counselor relationship requires a unique and individualized approach based on proven methods.
My passion and specialty lie in working with both couples and individuals. I have been practicing in the mental health field and in substance abuse for several years. I use psycho-dynamic and object relations theories to help understand clients’ attachment styles and the unconscious forces that can play in current behaviors, thoughts, and emotions leading to addictions and other maladaptive behaviors. I use the combination of Cognitive Therapy and strength-based approaches to challenge thinking patterns when working with clients.
My experience leading an interfaith organization has equipped me in appreciating and respecting the role faith plays in all aspects of life – restoration, relationships, recovery, and the family system.
