About me
Empowering Healing and Resilience Through Compassionate, Trauma-informed Care: I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for those navigating the challenges of trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction. My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a deep commitment to helping you reclaim your sense of self and well-being.
Welcome! I’m Michelle L. King, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for helping individuals find healing and hope through compassionate, trauma-informed care. I specialize in treating complex trauma (C-PTSD), depression, anxiety, and addiction, offering a supportive space for you to explore your experiences and move toward a more fulfilling life.
With a person-centered and strength-based approach, I believe in the inherent resilience and potential within each person. I use evidence-based therapies like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychotherapy, and mindfulness practices to tailor my treatment to your unique needs. My aim is to empower you to reclaim your story, build healthy coping strategies, and foster a sense of self-compassion and confidence.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m a strong advocate for social justice, supporting causes such as LGBTQ+ rights and mental health awareness. I strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and respected. My values of kindness, empathy, and authenticity guide my practice, and I am committed to helping you navigate the complexities of life with greater clarity and resilience.
Outside of therapy, I’m an avid reader and lifelong learner, always seeking to expand my knowledge to better serve my clients. I’m also passionate about making the world a kinder place, and I believe that every person deserves the opportunity to heal and thrive.
If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing, I’m here to walk alongside you on this journey. Let’s work together to build a life that feels empowered, connected, and meaningful.
