In my 15 years of experience as a therapist I have learned that most people just want to be listened to. Life can be a struggle for some people and everyone could benefit from having someone they can feel comfortable being an open book with. I never judge or criticize because I have either already seen it, done it, or heard it myself. Every one is on their own path, there is no right or wrong path, and one of the goals of therapy is learning how to create the path of least resistance.
I focus on trauma, PTSD, addiction, depression, anxiety, attachment wounds, and general adjustment concerns utilizing EMDR, CBT, and solution focused therapy modalities. We meet where you are at in your life and progress forward from there. Some of the most valuable lessonsI have learned while being a therapist is that some people have been lead to believe their thoughts control them. You can learn to control your thoughts, not give them so much power, and reframing your thinking can help improve moods and self image. We will never be able to rise above our opinions of ourselves.
