Whether INDIVIDUALLY, as a COUPLE, or entire FAMILY, my passion is to assist CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, as well ADULTS, along their unique journeys of PERSONAL GROWTH and DEVELOPMENT.

Practicing since 1985, as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), with National Certified Counselor (NCC); Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC); and Doctoral Addictions Counselor (DAC) certifications, my earned degrees in Psychology (B.A.), Clinical Counseling (M.A.), and Counseling – Psychology (D.Min.), serve bases for my clinical work.

As much professionally, I also strive to be as "common-sense (practical and pragmatic)" grounded as possible, with an especially strong emphasis upon relationship building (core encouragement, mutual respect, support, and integrity).

Particular SPECIALTIES include self-esteem; enhancement of coping strategies and skills; management of emotional dysregulation; grief counseling; addressing relational issues; treating addictions and substance use (alcohol and drug); overcoming internet and sex addiction; regulating impulsivity; addressing anxiety and depression, also other mood and bipolar disorders; managing personality disorders; addressing posttraumatic stress and dissociative difficulties (trauma recovery); treating childhood (developmental delays and learning difficulties) and thought disorders; addressing pain management concerns (associated with chronic and terminal illness); and aiding in advanced-age and geriatric struggles; including other specific phase of life concerns.

My primary theoretical orientation is to use a balance of evidence-based Cognitive Behavior and Dialectical Behavior Therapies (CBT/DBT); Attachment Counseling; Emotional Process Theory (EPT); Family-based SYSTEMIC Therapies; and Motivational Interviewing (MI); within the scope of an Integrative and Holistic/Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) model or approach to intervention.
