About me
Helping find happiness and positive connections in life has been my career-long goal. This occurs from our commitment to accept ourselves and others and our willingness to be curious and trust the process of change.
With 40 years experience, I wed systems therapy into my work with individuals, couples, and families. I have in-depth knowledge about strengthening relationships, utilizing one's personal and family resiliency, improving self efficacy and empowering people to find their personal path and voice. Many of my clients are dealing with the aftermath of addiction, loss, trauma, violence, and intimacy betrayal. I attempt to assist people to understand the jigsaw puzzle of life in order to feel, think, and behave more congruently with their inner self while improving their significant relationships.
As an MFT my clinical work and training experience is grounded in systems theory with an integrative approach that incorporates communications, experiential, structural, insight and relational models of treatment. My addiction treatment work is enhanced by a deep understanding of and belief in the possibility of wellness through recovery. I love training other clinicians and sharing with clients the joy of experiencing healing and happiness. I presently supervise other marriage and family therapists' supervision, have taught university classes, and work with community professionals to strengthen our services.
