Throughout our lives, we develop beliefs, values, and behaviors and use them as tools for living. How we encounter daily life is molded through life-long experiences (positive and negative) that occur in our home/school/social/work environments and these encounters impact our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. Life is beautiful, sad, scary, thrilling, motivating, frustrating, confusing, and exhausting leaving us feeling indifferent, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, paranoid, or stuck. Therapy is an opportunity to look at our lives through a different lens to bring new meaning and purpose to life.
I have worked with a wide-range of individuals ranging from crisis intervention and stabilization to professional development. In addition to crisis management, my specialty areas are anxiety, depression, navigating life changes, caregiver burnout, trauma, peri- and postpartum depression and psychosis, and severe mental illness. I believe you are the expert on you and my approach to therapy is to empower you to identify the things that need to change and provide you with the tools you need to make that change.
