About me
I am en experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has nearly 15 years experience working with individuals who are challenged with mental illness. I am dedicated to helping individuals who have difficulty managing depression, anxiety, parenting skills, marital and communication concerns, anger, self esteem and substance abuse.
I began working to help others since I was a young child. Growing up, I learned to accept others as they are and that people have the power within themselves to change and grow. The compassion and yearning to help others has been the lighthouse of my adulthood as well as my profession. I became a therapist because of the ability to connect with others to identify barriers, improve their situation and their life. I have developed problem solving techniques to assist with managing situations that life may throw at us.
As a speciality, I have gained the skills to work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, childhood trauma, older adulthood and domestic violence. Regardless of where you are in life, just remember, life is something like a puzzle, all the pieces eventually fit; and, as long as we work at it, something beautiful will always be the result.
