About me
I am a psychotherapist/mental health counselor licensed in the state of Florida with over 30 years of experience working in a community mental health setting. While I do not provide counseling anymore in my current professional capacity, I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns particularly those with severe mental illness including those with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, addiction, thought process disturbances, and affective/mood problems. On a limited basis, I also helped individuals who experienced emotional abuse. My counseling work is through the community mental health agency for which I work which I integrated in my administrative capacity to enhance my clinical expertise.
I am an eclectic counselor who conducts my assessment from a psychodynamic/psychoanalytic and social learning perspective. My counseling approach is direct and interactive that combines cognitive-behavioral, social learning, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and rational-emotive approaches. It is my belief that you have the solutions within you to overcome the challenges that you are facing, and I am here to guide you and uncover your inner strength.
It does take courage to reach out for help in your search for a more fulfilling and happier life, and an even stronger courage to take the first step towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support you in your journey.
I begin to see subscribers in the evenings and prefer that you evaluate your schedule and examine my published schedule here and schedule a session that best fits your availability. I will also try and accommodate your schedule if you will be so kind enough to let me know.
