About me
It sometimes takes a lot of courage to take the first step toward seeking support. I believe that therapy is a partnership and I feel privileged to support someone on their journey to healing through exploration and love of themselves.
I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am also a certified yoga instructor and can incorporate yoga therapy interventions in our work.
Whether you are dealing with a major life crisis or you want to take a deeper exploration of yourself, I would be honored to hear from you.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and a board-certified social work supervisor. I have been in private practice since 2008 and have concurrently worked as a leader in mental health in several hospital systems in Virginia, Texas, and New York. In my last role as the Director of Behavioral Health Services for Bon Secours St. Mary’s and Richmond Community Hospitals, I had the opportunity to serve a diverse population to improve mental health services in Richmond.
Along with a Masters in Social Work, I have obtained a Masters in Business Administration in Healthcare and I hold several certifications including:
Certified Yoga Instructor
Certified Stress Management Teacher
Level I Trauma Counselor
I began my career working with clients with substance use disorders and then specialized in children and families. Over the past 16 years, I have had the opportunity to work with leaders in the field of mental health treating adults, adolescents, and children with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, and thought disorders. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, and trauma. If clients are interested, as a certified yoga instructor, I can also incorporate yoga therapy interventions into therapy work.
I am currently accepting adults and children ages 10 and up for individual, couples, and family therapy.
