About me
I am an interactive, therapist with over 35 years experience helping individuals heal from past traumas, guiding couples to improve their relationships, and creating a more satisfying and fulfilling life. With compassion and understanding, I help individuals and couples find resolutions to a wide range of concerns and psychological issues. I also work with LGBTQ clients and couples.
My dog Cocoa often accompanies me in session. Pet therapy has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. It can also help increase self-esteem and improve social skills. Cocoa loves everyone and is a sweet friendly, hypoallergenic dog. She is currently in training to become a certified Emotional Support animal. If you are uncomfortable having her in session please let me know and I will honor your request.
My clients have appreciated my ability to get to the "heart of the matter" and give direct feedback and specific recommendations during our first therapy session. As we get to know each other, we will identify your concerns, desires and goals, and create an individualized treatment plan. In a direct and compassionate way, I will provide support, education, skills, techniques and practical feedback to help you deal with current life challenges and long-standing issues.
