About me
My focus is on supporting women who want to reclaim peace and healing and to collectively integrate the body, mind and spirit after enduring stressful or traumatic life experiences.
My work is truly my passion. Being on the healing journey with others is something that I consider an honor and I treat every person as the unique individual that they are. Life is full of challenges, whether it is overcoming childhood trauma or recovering from one specific troubling event...my goal is to help you reconnect to life more fully. I have worked within many areas and with many populations and have currently settled my focus on creating a safe, trauma-informed space for women to heal and get to know themselves again.
Moving beyond traditional "talk therapy", I offer applicable tools and concrete ways to understand how to move with and through anxiety/trauma and other mental health symptoms outside of the therapy office. I also work with college students and academics alike who are struggling with transition and high stress academic environments that may lead to symptoms that impact your quality of life. My practice encourages the connection between our mind and our body. When the two become connected and learn to communicate...new and healthy ways to feel grounded, present and peaceful can become reality.
I utilize many theoretical models that are psychodynamic in nature with a focus on holistic and somatic techniques. I strongly believe the research that shows that while theory is important, the most critical indicator of successful therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. I look forward to getting to know you and cultivating a plan for healing that addresses you as a whole person. You are not just a collection of symptoms or a diagnosis! When we reconnect with ourselves in a way that feels safe and that is guided by strong clinical strategies in a safe environment, healing and connection become our reality. The work is not always easy, however, I know first hand that it is worth it! We can do hard things...but we don't have to do them alone. I am happy to talk to you, answer any questions about my practice and see if this is the right space for you to begin or continue your own personal journey of healing...Body, Mind & Spirit.
