Kristi Stevens

I am a Licensed Professional Therapist Associate who works with adolescents ages 12 and up along with adults. Mindfulness is a very important part of the process of self-growth and something I consider essential for each individual in counseling. I have training in Shame Informed Treatment which works well for Trauma, Self-Harm and Eating Disorders.

I love my work and I am excited to be where I am today! It has been quite a journey. I returned to school for a degree in Psychology and my Master of Science in Counseling, both at Texas A&M University Commerce. I have a passion for helping people grow and being there to see the progress. It's an incredible experience to see someone develop the tools they need to make change on their own. I have worked with adolescents ages 12 and up, along with adults of all ages with a strong emphasis in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness.
My areas of interest include grief, depression, anxiety, anger and stress management, life transitions, mindfulness, autism and family support for autism. My specialty area is Shame Informed Treatment for Trauma, Self-Harm, Eating Disorders and those Not Comfortable in Their Body.
