I am an experienced individual therapist specializing in working with young adults & LGBTQ+ populations with anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship issues.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor in Virginia. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University, and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Christopher Newport University.

I grew up as a military child (Army brat), so I have a unique perspective on life transitions, stress management and forming/managing relationships. I have been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and have experienced post-partum anxiety and depression, which allows me to connect with my clients from a unique place of understanding. I believe that sharing these experiences provides my clients with feelings of normalizing and acceptance.

I have experience working as a therapist in a few different roles; I have worked for agencies providing day treatment services for children in schools, as well as adults with severe mental illness. I have worked in both for-profit private practice and non-profit agency settings. Each setting has provided me with unique learning experiences to use a range of therapeutic approaches while working with diverse populations.

I have specialized training in working with anxiety, mindfulness, the LGBTQIA+ community, telehealth, and trauma informed care. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach, primarily pulling from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT).

I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Northern Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors (NVLPC), and Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Honor Society).
