Humans and how we journey in the world has been an on-going fascination of mine, starting with my early desire to be an anthropologist and teacher. I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years, working with adolescents and adults. I currently have limited openings for individuals and couples. I earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Goddard College in Vermont. My interests and focus' are in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy and SAIGE.
I believe that we heal in relationships, as most harm occurs in relation to others, in relation to systems, and to the larger actions of historical and world events. I work towards developing a safe, warm and non-judgmental space for others as I genuinely want to be of service to healing. I have 250+ hours of training in Nonviolent Communication, Psychodrama, Meditation, Focusing, SandTray, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. I am trained as an Interspiritual Minister, Reiki practitioner, yoga teacher, and death doula. Each of these areas of training have offered me insights into developing a compassionate and creative approach.
I am grateful for your consideration to engage in this work, and I look forward to developing a therapeutic relationship that supports your greatest potential. I practice under the supervision of Carolyn Dehnbostel MA, LMFT, and IEATA Registered Supervising Therapist.
