For successful therapy, it’s crucial that you feel safe in the relationship with your therapist. Creating that safety is my top priority. In our relationship all parts of you are welcome, those you like and those you don’t. I hold myself responsible for being aware of and respecting every component of your identity and their influences on your life experience. I want you to feel seen as a whole person.
For over 20 years, I have worked with individuals and couples to help them heal, restore hope, and find happiness lost due to trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, difficulties in relationships-including infidelity, and other concerns. I work collaboratively with my clients and draw on my experience to customize therapy to meet each individual or couple’s needs. Through curiosity, empathy, and compassionate listening, I focus on making sure you feel supported even when I may gently challenge you. We will work as a team to help you gain a sense of agency by increasing emotional awareness, developing skills to help you stabilize when you feel overwhelmed, and improving communication in relationships. We will increase your ability to access your strengths and innate wisdom. Tears and laughter are equally welcome in sessions.
