Worked as a Bereavement counselor at a hospice providing care for families who lost their loved ones by physical illness, sudden death, and traumatic incidence.
Currently, providing EFT, EMDR, Trauma therapy, relational conflicts, and grief therapy at San Diego Grief Counseling Kayo Therapy for diverse populations.
I believe we all have resilience. Our life may not come with a map, and we experience daily challenges to traumatic events with more lasting impact, like the death of a loved one, a life-altering accident, or a serious illness. Each change affects us differently, bringing a flood of thoughts, strong emotions and uncertainty. Yet we generally adapt well over time to stressful life-changing situations. We may end up feeling stuck or alone, struggling with anxious feelings, sadness, guilt or pain. I will meet you in these difficult places and we will walk together, helping you break through to find hope, power, connection and energy.
I grew up in Saitama, near Tokyo, Japan. Throughout my childhood, my family hosted international students in their home from all over the world. My father was born at the end of World War II, which influenced his passion and desire for world peace. My upbringing fostered a joy for connecting with people from all cultures and a curiosity about each life. I have a passion for helping people heal from past traumas and finding peace and connection in their lives. I have trained in a number of modalities, including EMDR, to work with many different types of struggles that come from the painful events that happen in life.
I have also supported the American military family and people of international marriage in the U.S. Navy community in Japan.
