About me
Do you struggle with people pleasing and difficulty setting healthy boundaries for yourself in your relationships? Are you trying to recover from narcissistic abuse you experienced from a narcissistic parent? Did you grow up feeling invisible? Do you tend to take on too much responsibility for others at the expense of your own healthy needs? Do you want to have more authentic relationships in your life? Are you experiencing feelings of not being "good enough?" Are you looking for a therapist that truly understands the heartache of grief and loss? You don't have to go through these struggles alone.
I've been a therapist since 2005, though I've been a "helper" all my life. I have a variety of clinical experience ranging from working with abused children in a residential facility, helping opiate addicted adults with their addiction and recovery, treating adults with a wide range of presenting problems in a community mental health setting for 10 years, and have been in private practice since October 2018.
My true passion is helping my clients heal from childhood trauma connected to ongoing challenges with their family of origin relationships as well as helping them develop and strengthen healthy boundaries both for themselves and within relationships. I specifically help people work through challenges connected to: narcissistic abuse/antagonistic relational stress (in various relationships, but primarily in family of origin, intimate relationships, and work settings) and bereavement/grief and loss.
I will help you process what you're going through, explore unhelpful patterns, and help you learn how to set healthy boundaries as well as develop self-compassion. I provide a warm and welcoming space in which to explore the challenges you are having. We will work collaboratively as you identify the difficulty you are having and we'll focus on your goals for therapy. Please contact me to see if we'll be a good fit to work together and if you plan on using your insurance, please mention your in network insurance coverage.
