About me
I am an experienced individual and child therapist. My special interests include parent-child relational issues, parenting and child behavior issues, women's issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, fertility and adoption, attachment, and stress-coping. I have experience working with women, men, children, teens, and families. I am trained in Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Trauma Focused CBT & several other treatment modalities.
I believe in the importance of each individual and in honoring your story, and it is my sole purpose to have clients feel valued and understood, within a trusting, open minded relationship. I operate from a strengths based perspective, offering hope and healing to individuals and families. I began working in mental health services in 2001, and earned my masters in 2012. For the past several years, I have worked as an attachment and trauma focused therapist providing parenting coaching and counseling to parents and their children, both separately and together. I began private practice work in 2016.
