I am an experienced licensed professional counselor who is dedicated to working with clients with past traumas, grief and anxiety.

I love working with clients and getting to know their stories. Together we discuss life's challenges and figure out coping skills that can individually help a client manage their everyday just better. I think of past traumas as my business symbol; the lotus flower. This is the only flower that can grow in the murkiest waters, like swamps, and still somehow find a way to shine and blossom; regardless of the obstacles this flower had to endure. I attribute it to people in general. We all have past traumas and may have went through some murky times that were undoubtedly tough. In order to survive the obstacles thrown our way we had to find coping mechanisms that may not have been the best (i.e. - survival techniques). Those survival techniques do not define how great we will become, just give us a clue into our past and what we had to do. Now, with counseling, we can learn best fit techniques or coping skills that can individually help us blossom into the person we are meant to be. Hence, the lotus flower:).
