Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am an experienced Clinical Social Worker counselor who is dedicated to helping teens and adults cope with anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, trauma, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, and life transitions. I have helped clients address their concerns and build effective coping skills to better control those difficult feelings and thoughts. Often times, these feelings and thoughts can be overwhelming and that is where I can be a helping hand. We will work together on what you want to change to develop skills to improve yourself and become the best possible version of you.
I graduated from the joint program between the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and NC Agricultural and Technical State University with my masters in Social Work. My focus during grad school was trauma. I have worked with domestic violence offenders and victims, veterans, teens and adults. I am located at B Balanced Counseling and Wellness in Winston Salem, NC. At B Balanced Counseling and Wellness, we focus on cultivating a balance in life through wellness of the heart, body, and soul for people of all ages, sizes, genders, orientations, and backgrounds! We are passionate in the promotion of mental health awareness, support, and collaborative comprehensive treatment. Each client that walks through our door is unique and deserves a specific program designed to fit their needs of "balance," and support their personal goals.
In terms of my services, I do not adhere to the one-size-fits-all perspective of counseling theories. Therapy is a way for you to express your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a place where you feel trust and acceptance. We will work together to achieve your best quality of life through finding what works best for you and your needs.
Therapy is awesome, but I understand it can be intimidating and scary at times. There is nothing wrong with you… you may just need some extra TLC! My role in therapy is to be a source of information, empowerment, and a helping hand. I am committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment. I look forward to working with you to become the best you, you can be!
