About me
I am licensed as a clinical psychologist with over 16 years of clinical experience, offering in-person and telehealth psychological services to adults residing in California. I specialize in helping individuals who are challenged with managing their sadness, anxiety, anger, relationship issues, multicultural issues, women's mental health, life transitions, trauma, and loss.
I use a variety of treatment modalities designed to assess and target emotional and behavioral conditions that lead to daily impairments. I am able to incorporate an Asian-American cultural perspective into treatment, focusing on dynamics involving cross-cultural identity issues, inter-generational conflicts, and cross-cultural traumas. My approach is client-centered, and includes but is not limited to a combination of evidenced-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
My approach to treatment is based on a strong mutual collaboration with you--a partnership that emphasizes your strengths, and an agreement to use evidenced-based therapeutic strategies to promote the changes you envision for yourself. I am dedicated to guiding you through your unique path of change, overcoming your personal obstacles, and empowering you to thrive.
