I am a counselor who helps clients experience greater clarity and confidence in their most significant relationships. My specialties include: Marriage/Couples/Pre-marital/Discernment Counseling (where one is leaning in and the other is leaning out of the relationship).

My clients describe me as a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist who helps them achieve their goals for counseling in a collaborative manner. For couples who are committed to their relationship and stuck in patterns of arguing or disconnection, I offer over 15 years of experience helping build stronger and more resilient relational bonds using my skills with Emotionally Focused Couples Counseling. Many of my referrals come from other therapists who are stuck in their work or are not familiar with the nuances of working with couples not in agreement as to wanting to be in the relationship. Call me a glutton for punishment, but I enjoy working with couples that other therapists may find too challenging. I am one of the few people in Missouri certified in Discernment Counseling which gives us a specific way to help these highly distressed individuals make the best decisions for themselves and their families.

As a professional counselor, I also see individuals who are struggling in a marital or family relationship and those with challenging mental health concerns. I view anxiety, depression, and other disorders through the lens of past and current relationships.
