About me
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, & EMDR trained therapist. I specialize in treatment of complex trauma & pregnancy loss.
My primary framework is attachment focused. I believe humans are designed to enjoy connection with others. From before birth our bodies & brains are already making connections to significant people in our lives. We need secure loving relationships in order to function optimally. When safety is threatened & love is absent we become overwhelmed.
Therapy provides an environment to share your story. It's more than a calming space. It's a nurturing relationship that allows you to feel seen, heard, and known. It may be your first safe connection and one that will allow you to feel valued and willing to seek relationships with others. In time, hopefully you discover your voice & grow in your capacity for joy.
During sessions I may use various tools to help you gain a sense of stability & peace. But, more than anything I listen deeply. I join you where you are and honor all the ways you have courageously endured.
