Welcome to Nyame Counseling & Wellness. My name is Joey Nyame. First and foremost I thank you considering allowing me to support you in your life journey. The strength and courage it takes to seek help is unmatched. Life can sometimes hit in a way that makes us feel uniquely alone, but therapy can help you sort through your experiences so that you might begin to reconnect with your life in meaningful ways.

The word “ Nyame” is my last name, but also a Ghanian cultural reference to the power of God in our lives. I do not offer religion based services, but invite people of all spiritual orientations to explore the life affirming power of therapy. As a practitioner of Person Centered therapy, I recognize the humanity in all experiences. I attempt to foster a space that is an empathetic and non judgmental so that you feel safe enough to challenge yourself to choose differently. My hope is that the space we create together allows for people of all identities to flourish and feel empowered to make decisions that lead them to live their best life. This is the gift of therapy.
