About me
I am a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor with more than a decade of experience helping people make changes in their substance use.
I am a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC) in California. For more than a decade, I have developed supportive yet challenging therapeutic relationships with people seeking change in their substance use. As a practitioner of harm reduction therapy, I believe that people know what is best for them, and that confrontational, abstinence-only attitudes are both unethical and ineffective.
I utilize evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I am also heavily influenced by principles of Buddhism and psychoanalytic theory and practice.
