Our knowledge of how the brain and body function and communicate is increasing rapidly, and this is changing therapy in dramatic ways. Therapy should not be just talking about it any more. Over the years, I have seen how anxiety - which is fear - affects our bodies in the same way as trauma and responds quite well to similar and innovative approaches. This includes working with our physical sensations as well as our cognitive thoughts. And in the areas of ADHD/ADD, diagnosis based on behaviors only is about 40% accurate. We can and should do much better than this!
