About me
I'm a licensed professional counselor with over 6 years of experience, dedicated to establishing a secure and supportive environment for clients to explore their concerns. My aim is to assist clients in navigating mental health challenges and life stressors.
My background includes extensive work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, parenting difficulties, stress management, childhood trauma, pre/post bariatric and weight loss surgery concerns, and low self-esteem. I blend person-centered theory and CBT techniques, emphasizing radical acceptance and mindfulness. I prioritize active, empathic listening, and offer warm acceptance to provide direct emotional support to my clients.
I collaborate with my clients to help them learn healthy coping mechanisms and navigate life successfully. Recognizing the uniqueness and value of each individual's life experiences, I believe that starting the therapeutic process by meeting the person where they are is essential. Clients might be urged to engage in coping strategies like journaling, incorporating exercise as a stress-relief outlet, and exploring creative activities to articulate challenging emotions.
