About me
I am an experienced, compassionate therapist who specializes in trauma, EMDR and working with children. My favorite thing about being a therapist is watching people change over time and begin to see possibilities they never saw before beginning therapy.
I know how hard it is to want things in your life to change but not know how to change them. You know what your goals are and how you’d like to feel but there doesn’t seem to be a path to get there. Therapy is a great place to work together to make change happen. I believe many problems start in the past and we can see that best in the present. Frequently we will work together on what’s going on now, in the present, and then work on understanding and resolving the past if you want to explore it.
One of the methods I specialize in is EMDR which is helpful to resolve traumas of many types. I also believe kids of all ages can struggle so I work with ages 2 and up. I like to use lots of techniques and tools to help people meet their goals including sand tray, art based approaches and play therapy.
Starting therapy is a big step toward feeling better and being better. Therapy is a lot of work but worth doing. Today’s choices create your tomorrow. Healing from your past, being better in the present and having a different future are all possible.
